Paula Poundstone is off on a shaky foot. Her red velvet late-80’s Young Comedians Special uniform is so far funnier than the jokes.

“Look at ________ over here (insert joke), and the diversity, look at _______ over here….”

Segue into cringe-worthy Dreamgirls nod (or was it? I don’t know) with real life black choir.

Art Direction? Pan’s Labrynth. It’s the guy that designed the last Therion album cover!!

Apologies in advance. We’re off to a slow start tonight. Let’s wait until an actual joke enters my head.

E-Murph’s interview on the Barbara Walters Oscar Special was something else, people. He played the advantageous sense-of-humor-about-oneself card. Catch it on YouTube in about an hour.

Unfunny former MTV VJ Chris Connelly and unfunny Happy Feet intro start off the night, and Leo’s direct line of smoke up Scorsese’s ass reminds me of how horribly overrated The Departed was, and how horribly omnipresent it will be over the next four hours.

Little Miss Sunshine was a tolerable and funny exercise within a genre (Pseudo-Indie-Families-Are-Fucked-Up) that I generally despise. Arkin was a saving grace, and Arkin is nominated. Let’s see that he gets what is deserved.

Stay tuned!!! Make sure that laugh needle is on empty!!
