Clint doesn’t really hit Lee where or how the racial ambulance-chaser needs to be hit, but we haven’t heard the end of this one. I really liked 25th Hour, and Inside Man is an excellent caper minus the stock insert-into-any-movie racial concerns. Although he destroyed Price’s book, Clockers was an watch-able effort considering whiny-pants had to come in and clean up someone else’s mess.

Wow, what a feud - thanks for posting. But hey, no mention of Do The Right Thing in your roundup of Spike’s positive contributions to film culture? The guy had that one great movie in him, and he’s been kinda coasting the rest of his career, although I also like (but don’t love) the ones you mentioned. DTRT holds up really well, though - if you haven’t seen it in a while, it’s worth revisiting.
For all Spike’s whining, Clint is still the bigger creep - 7 children with 5 different women? Jeez. He is the better filmmaker, though.

Love Lee and his movies…
But Clockers falls right behind Mo Better Blues but before the ridiculous Jungle Fever.
Clockers was a bummer primarily because it had so much potential.
